Where did the time fly?
Even I cannot believe that I have not posted in over 6 months!
Where on earth did the time fly to? Or maybe it wasn't earth that was the problem! That's right, I remember now, I was lost in space.......
Yes, that's right, I've been searching the skies looking for those deep sky objects. I've also been depleting my bank account doing it... but having a blast!
I'll add some images here, but most will be on my photo site, go and take a look.... I hope you find something that you like. http://www.pbase.com/skyarcher.

Go Minz!
I am so excited and thrilled! Let's not forget that I am amazingly proud of... you guessed it.. Minz!
As of June, wow it's coming up fast, he will be teaching the class that Eric Meyer used to teach over at IWA / HWG called : CSS 2.1 In-Depth.
If you, like me, still have questions and want real-world answers, then get your butt over there and sign-up! If you just want refresher course, get your butt over there and sign-up! Okay..how about, just get your butt over there and sign-up!
See ya there... I am sooooooooooo excited. Hmmm... can I be teacher's pet?! ;-)
Way to go Minz!
Time flies!
Wow! I cannot believe that it has been that long since I've updated my blog! That is atrocious!
But, as the adage goes... Time flies when your having fun... really does fit.
I've been having a fantastic time traveling to star parties and dark sky sites, seeing some absolutely amazing views that are indescribable except to say... Out of this world awesome!
I'm learning so much, not only about the sky, but about myself too. I'm learning that it is okay to have fun, to laugh, to smile, to enjoy life again. I still sometimes feel guilty because I am trying to live again, but I know that James would want that if he were still here.
What can I say, I belong to the best astronomical groups! In such a short time, the members that I've met have found a place within my heart. I want to see them exceed in all that they are doing, be it teaching others about astronomy all the way to taking spectacular images of distant galaxies and clusters, not to mention breath-taking nebulas.
Two that I have gotten close to are Margie and Nancy, yes, us girls have to stick together! ;-) Their enthusiam and excitement is infectious and I am thrilled that I know them. Last Friday night a few of us went out to one of our dark sky sites and Margie and I more than made up for the quietness of the night as we found different galaxies and nebula. I'm sure the guys were thinking, either they are crazy or we need to get earplugs! :-D I think though, even they had to have had fun, even if it was through our excitement.
I'll leave you with this view of our biggest star!
Clear skies and remember... Lights down and Stars up!

It's about time!
I so cannot wait for this book to come out!
What book?!
Why, The Zen of CSSDesign: Visual Enlightenment for the web, by Dave Shea and Molly Holzschlag, of course.
Not sure if he knows it or not, but because Minz has a couple of designs up over on css Zen Garden, he, along with all the other wonderful designers are given a special thank you acknowledgement in the book!
Straight from the front page of the web site, css Zen Garden is a A demonstration of what can be accomplished visually through CSS-based design. . And they aren't kidding! Go check it out if you don't believe me. The HTML never changes, only the CSS. Pretty cool, eh!
Well, I'm off to put in my pre-order, what about you?!
