Cooking with Webstandards! Taste the full flavour of the Web

Take a deep breath

Sometimes, things happen and remind you that there is more in life than work, money and the web.

This is what happened to me last week:

Car wreckage

I was hit by a car whose driver lost control of his vehicle due to a slippery road and too much speed. My car was pushed off-road and overturned. When I look at the wreckage, it is hard to believe that I deboarded almost unharmed. The doctors at hospital said the cervicals are a bit stressed, but nothing was damaged and I am suffering light pain in the neck and mild headaches, but it is getting better every day.

So, remember offline-life sometimes, step away from that computer, go outside, meet friends, have fun with your family and embrace life. It could be too short, you never know.

Yikes, glad to 'see' you're okay Minz.

Good advice about offline life too, was just having that discussion with someone....

That picture looks scary and I'm relieved to hear you weren't hurt much. Hope you get 100% well soon!

...Or you could say "Stay online - it's much safer!' :)

Glad to see you weren't too knocked up. Hope you feel better soon.

Yikes, indeed, Minz! The photo was quite scary, in fact it took me a while before I re-focused on the text part of the post.

I'm so glad you were not seriously injured, and are recovering well.

So let me get this straight:

1. You step away from your computer and venture into Real Life
2. Someone trashes your car, injuring you in the process
3. You suggest we follow your example of going outside…

:))
Yes, Mark, that's why I said "go" outside, and not drive ;)
